Black Researchers Collective employees purport to conduct interviews "on the street" with black Chicagoans, which have been compiled into "reports" that advocate against capitalism and for policies like slavery reparations, the mass release of black violent criminals from state jails, and free, housing, health care and college for black Chicagoans, funded by white, Asian and Hispanic taxpayers.

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. The state is full of nonprofits like this that are government funded. It’s just like the NGO scandal at the federal level. We are on it.

I bet the “charity” finds this report unwelcome. If they do more than a little bit of lobbying, they stand to lose their 501(c)(3) status, and will need to be a 501(c)(4) (not tax-exempt) group: Lobbying is: (1) communicating with decision makers (2) about existing legislation and (3) urging a vote for or against. This group received $700K from the tax payers of Illinois alone.
