Illinois bill would override local law to allow homeless living in all public parks – Wirepoints
If this bill passes, say goodbye to local control over all Illinois parks and expect to see open drug and alcohol use, needles, no sanitation and fire hazards, but no ordinary park users.
Expect no retraction or apology. This what they do.
The state’s existing buyout program for its own pensions is the precedent for Chicago, which should be a warning: Look out for similar exaggerated claims and shoddy analysis.
An ignorant populace is a compliant populace. Those are Coneheads “values”.
It certainly seems this school should be emphasizing reading and math more. Other developed countries are kicking our butts in STEM subjects, and we’re emphasizing basketball.
This is the huge disconnect with the theory of the benefits of free trade. Of course it makes sense for more advanced countries to concentrate on higher level production, the information economy, and import products requiring lower skills from underdeveloped countries. But that presumes the advanced country has a well educated populace capable of contributing to the information economy.
Unfortunately, too much of our education system has been focused for decades on victimhood, oppression, SEL and DEI. It’s impossible to pretend we can sustain an information economy while schools graduate such a large group of functional illiterates.
The Democratic plan for an uneducated electorate is working well.
Well! As long as they play great basketball that’s all we need to know! Give those teachers and coaches bigger salaries and benefits! Maybe one of those players can go pro, but he won’t be able to read his contract or his endorsement deals – just ask a former Bull that went to CPS! Talk about screwed up priorities!
With this mayor shooting three pointers is more important than being able to read.
The grift continues, just keep the money rolling in for salaries and pensions. In school a student should be able to learn the basics at least. In this case, they apparently are not and everyone (students, teachers and administrators) gets a sticker and trophy for nothing. It is just very expensive Daycare, Transportation and Food service. Let’s stop calling it School or an education, because that’s not happening.
Chicago has no intention of even trying to teach children it’s just a big political payment system for loyal democrats.
