Though the mayor finished his Friday comments to reporters by warning the White House is “going to meet the muscle of working people, and it starts right here in Chicago,” it remains to be seen whether he will make good on his threat to sue. Chicago Public Schools receives $1.3 billion in federal funding. Over $400 million are grants under Title I, which targets students who fall below achievement standards.
How much money is IL and Chicago wasting on frivolous and hopeless lawsuits? Kwame wants more money to sue Trump. Brandon already has big budget deficits and he’s going to spend more money on Trump lawsuits? They ought to realize the Feds have more money and legal expertise than they do as well as overriding federal law. Keep wasting taxpayer money.

Go ahead and sue, Trump never pays what the court orders. He thumbs his nose at court orders.
He just ignores court orders and does what he wants to do.

OMG, I never knew the CPS was so heavily funded by Feds. I knew the State of Illinois was taken to the cleaners. Almost 1/2 Billion dollars per year from Uncle Sugar! WTF? No wonder my dollars become worth less every passing day.

Mayor Johnson, always playing the victim, never the leader.
“It’s not immediately clear what initiatives in CPS would fall under DEI in the Education Department’s eyes.” That really doesn’t ultimately matter. The outcome in of any litigation by or against the Administration will be decided by the law and, for now, that means the Harvard decision from the Supreme Court a year and a half ago. It clearly cut back on reverse discrimination. Though the lines it drew are not entirely clear, many Chicago diversity programs are in violation.

Go ahead and sue Conehead! You are doing nothing useful in any other capacity, so why would that change now?

Look at the SCOTUS decision of Friday. 65 million for teachers cancelled because of DEI they lost.
This is just typical Illinois like the bruen decision you can’t ban commonly owned firearms but they did it anyway. Eventually it be overturned but the citizens will be denied their constitutional rights for years with no repercussions for the state for that or the waste of taxpayers money defending it
Mayor Cliff Notes is gonna lose. Not just in court.
He’s gonna lose a bunch of taxpayer dollars in the process.

The Left used federal withholding of federal dollars to state and local governments when it suited THEIR agenda.
Now, when it does not suit their agenda they are opposed to it. Funny how that works.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.

It happens when an incompetent is made mayor.
