Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. America has deep racial divides thanks to the race hustlers that keep the game going to enrich the equity complex with taxpayers money. Can you imagine what would happen if the Sharptons and Jesse Jacksons would’ve had to go out and get real jobs?
DEI

“DEI Hire” is a slur because most folks don’t know that DEI is not a quota system. Quota systems are illegal in hiring.
We understand it’s not a quota system. But it does assign bonus points for factors that are not relevant to the position, but instead advance an ideological agenda. It also issues demerits to people based on their membership in what is called a “privileged” group. That’s the whole point of DEI.
The way to avoid labels such as DEI hire is to stop using DEI as a factor in hiring decisions.
“The ILBC shares in the belief that every American should have the opportunity to earn their success, to be promoted on their own merits, and enjoy the American dream of prosperity and fulfillment.”
No, the ILBC has a shared belief in putting thumbs on the scales of outcomes, rather than in equal opportunities. If DEI is so wonderful, why is being a ‘DEI Hire’ a slur?
Note that the sentence you quoted doesn’t include the phrase “to be hired on their own merits.” I think most of us who worked hard to get a good, intellectually challenging degree from a good school aren’t into affirmative action, DEI, or whatever it’ll be called next.
It’s being called “ reparations “.
