Are Mayor Cliff Notes’ hiring practices the ‘systemic racism’ we keep hearing leftists shriek about?

BJ will suffer zero consequences for this and only gain approval and votes from minorities. When DOJ sues Chicago into painful financial penalties the taxpayers will be forced to pay the bill and BJ will not personally be effected. And all of the diversity hires will remain employed. Until vermin politicians like BJ, JB and rest of the Democrat criminal cabal lose their retirements, their paychecks, their houses, the contents of their bank accounts then no change will ever happen.

He is just plain stupid. Just shows you how dumb he is and totally ignorant about politics, the law and government. If you are going to hire like that, you don’t brag about it publicly. This is about as smart as a bank robber running around bragging about how he just robbed the bank. Have you ever read the Constitution, or a news article about discrimination, or don’t you have a speech writer who has an IQ above 80? The next two years can’t come soon enough.

I’m shocked, shocked, that Mayor Johnson would do anything like that.

Mayor Johnson’s comment by him using race to determine who he prefers to hire shows that illegal hiring practices are systemic in the city. Time for the Feds to crack the rotten and illegal behavior of Chicago. Hopefully people can now come forward with employment discrimination claims also. Mayor Johnson’s ideas on hiring are not just wrong, but clearly illegal.

Pin Head is a combination of bad behavior, you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to see that he is a blatant racist and corrupt. It is in our faces every day. He says it. When people plainly tell you who they are…we should believe him.

I think he’s even worse than racist. He only cares about his cronies and disregards competence, too.

From trib article via triibe (https://www.chicagotribune.com/2025/05/19/justice-department-chicago-alleged-racially-motivated-hiring/): Johnson has long touted his staff’s diversity as a point of pride. He has said his administration is the most diverse in Chicago’s history, but added that “it’s not like non-folks of color are losing.”“It’s not enough to win the power, you have to protect the power. The first thing I did for our people was make sure that I put key Black people in positions of power to protect it,” he told The Triibe in March. “If anything were to ever happen to me, and God forbid, I have placed our people in… Read more »

In another of Brando interview, from a day ago, in super lefty South Side Weekly (https://southsideweekly.com/mayor-johnson-at-the-midterm-mark-full-interview/) he touts his city program to hire CPS grades into $90g Streets and San jobs through LIUNA jobs training program (https://www.chicago.gov/city/en/depts/mayor/press_room/press_releases/2024/june/laborers-trainee-program.html) : There’s a program that I’m really proud of, though, is the pilot program that we started last year where we hired seventy-five graduating seniors from Chicago Public Schools to participate in a pilot program serving in our Streets and Sanitation department. Of those seventy-five, fifty-five of them stayed on. They’re now card carrying union members making $50,000 a year, and the next… Read more »

All the news outlets have pieces out on this. His administration has a short response in WTTW piece(https://news.wttw.com/2025/05/19/feds-announce-probe-mayor-johnson-after-he-lauds-record-hiring-black-chicagoans-senior): Johnson is “proud to have the most diverse administration in the history of our city. Our administration reflects the diversity and values of Chicago. Unfortunately, the current federal administration does not reflect either,” according to a statement from his spokesperson. Then, as you’d expect, WTTW article goes on to defend Johnson admin diversity: The mayor’s office workforce was 30% White, 34% Black, 24% Latino and 7% Asian American, according to data released Monday afternoon. The city’s overall workforce was 38% White, 29.5%… Read more »

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
