Mass transit means rental moving trucks to many. Sad to see the price today has gone from $800 to over 2k in a just a matter of days. Illinois supply and demand at work.

Mass transit doesn’t need to cut workers. They need to cut the bureaucracy and the highly paid, useless managers.
A service and headcount reduction is long overdue. The Autopen’s Coof money masked the problem. Now the executive directors are attempting to extort a tax hike to make up for the end of the Autopen’s generosity with other people’s money and pay for their mismanagement of the RTA.
I notice downstate was mentioned by Villivalam who apparently can’t see the forest for the trees. The main problem with downstate mass transit is lack of users. Down here we have empty busses running day and night, the assorted taxes and of course the usual bunch of administrators so closely tied it seems to the Illinois political system. I just wish it would all go away
