Hippotherapy is a type of physical, occupational and speech therapy where the movement of a horse is used to treat a patient’s specific disability or disorder, such as autism, cerebral palsy, arthritis, multiple sclerosis, strokes, head and spinal cord injuries, as well as behavioral disorders and psychiatric disorders, including PTSD.

This is expected, as JB has been practicing hippo therapy his whole life. Just not the one with horses.

Conclusions: Conventional hippotherapy and HRS appear to have evidence to support their benefits on gross motor function in children with CP. However, more clinical trials with standardized protocols and more representative samples are needed to confirm these effects.
