Contract negotiations in 52 school districts may see Chicago Teachers Union-style radicalism – Illinois Policy

"CTU’s agenda includes 'bargaining for the common good.' It is a euphemism for using union contract negotiations to push through a political agenda that should be determined through a democratic process – not in union contract."

How dare these lowly public employees attempt to get a raise. The nerve of these people. They should just work for whatever scraps are offered.

No, they should get a real job that you have to work at in the private sector. Most would be fired in the first month.

Scraps such as “…racial justice, climate justice and immigration…”, right Mr./Mrs./Ms. state retiree?

Why should CPS be the only school district to run out of operating money when there are so many other waiting to be plundered?

Maybe you missed the part about a radical political agenda used as part of the “bargaining” process.

Gosh, Randi Weingarten resigned her role in the DNC. Did you see her performance at the “No Kings” rally in Philadelphia? The DNC is losing a real artiste.

Maybe Becky Pringle can take her place. Because the leaders of teacher unions should definitely be involved in partisan politics, while they “negotiate” their deals. And claim “it’s for the chillldrennn!”
