Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. harvest business & taxpayers to fund ****** bullshit, it’s what the rat mofos do
Many of the politicians are…..attorneys. Many politicians have or work for law firms that…..sue about everything. Many of the politicians will have their bottom line income increased several fold as law suits will be filed across the entire state. Many of the politicians don’t care about what kind of impact their decisions cause. Many of the politicians are just crooks with suits snd ties. In Illinois all of the above mean that this bill will pass, backs will be slapped, pockets will be filled and the toilet flush will be stronger.
Even if Pritzker nixes this business-unfriendly bill, IL will continue to enact business-unfriendly bills after companies move operations here. Therefore, for most companies, it’s too risky to move operations here.
Trial Lawyers bribed the for-sale Democrats of Illinois and expect to cash in. Just like the Public Sector Union parasites bribed the Illinois Democrats and now reap grossly above-market wages, now-show jobs, five people doing the work of one ‘jobs’, gold plated health care and then retire as pension millionaires after a few month’s work. Bribery. With the invoice handed to the real taxpaying chumbolones of Illinois. Disgusting. Organized crime. Neither are deserving of a single cent of their stolen loot.
Not a lawyer, but can’t see how this could be constitutional, whether IL SC or US SC. Another case of IL being ruled by public employees unions and trial lawyers.
