The Mag Mile has seen a revolving door of retailers in recent years, with most closing up shop. Gregory Kirsch, managing broker at Chicago-based Kirsch Agency, said the northern part of Michigan Avenue has suffered more since large retailers like Macy’s and Uniqlo closed their stores. He said retail vacancy along Mag Mile is 29.2 percent.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
Chances are the family will not move out of state (Florida?) and reopen where the grass is greener.
