House Dems Trash America At Radical Summit In Mexico; Illinois’ Rep. Ramirez says ‘I’m a proud Guatemalan before I’m an American’ – Daily Caller/AOL

WASHINGTON, DC - MARCH 04: Rep. Nydia Velázquez (D-NY), Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rep. Summer Lee (D-PA), and Rep. Delia Ramirez (D-IL) take a selfie prior to U.S. President Donald Trump's address to a joint session of Congress at the U.S. Capitol on March 04, 2025 in Washington, DC. (Photo by Kayla Bartkowski/Getty Images) ©(Photo by Kayla Bartkowski/Getty Images) The congresswoman — who represents segments of Chicago and its suburbs — further accused the U.S. of being “addicted to war,” and prioritizing “imperialism, militarization, conquest, control, competition in its attempt at domination.” Ramirez’s husband is in the U.S. illegally, according to her own website, which highlights her credentials as the “only Congressperson in a mixed-status marriage.”

Why did Ramirez’s parents immigrate here from Guatemala if Guatemala is the superior country? Are they so disappointed in the US that they want to go back?

America needs a good enema; not sure what it would look like, but it certainly needs one.

A number of these bureaucrats at the city/township/county/state/federal level are in an entitlement mode X 10. Do they understand how cushy a job they have compared to private-sector workers? For what these bureaucrats do, they get great pay and great benefits, but they always want more. Humility is not one of their traits.

Hey Tom Homan: Deport this woman’s criminal illegal alien freeloader husband ASAP. How is he earning a living unless he is working illegally and stealing a real American’s job. Toss him back now.

All elected officials who put their home country over the USA should be impeached. All federal congressman should have to be born in the USA.

what about politicians who put their own personal interests about the interests of the public they were elected to serve? it only follows that they also should be impeached.

Only if they have committed an impeachable offense. If we began impeaching every politician who put his or her personal interests above the public…. Wait, hold on. I. Can’t. Finish. Typing. Laughing. Too. Hard.

And, no. I don’t believe federal congressmen need to be native born. Most of the legal immigrants I know are more loyal to the US then many native born sons and daughters.

The US gov’t has the right to revoke citizenship for both native born and naturalized citizens. I strongly propose we start using using it, and them chuck ‘em out.

Why would anyone include them? They didn’t say their loyalty lies with another country before America. You somehow believe that his comment was directed at ALL immigrants versus those disloyal to this country.

President or congress doesn’t have the authority to revoke citizenship for native born citizens. SCOTUS already ruled on this issue. Afroyim v. Rusk. You would need the court to change a prior ruling and reinterpret the 14th amendment. They ruled that US born citizens can’t lose their citizenship without their voluntary intent to relinquish it. Even espionage, treason or fighting for an enemy army wouldn’t qualify someone to have their citizenship status revoked. I get that you and others won’t like that but it’s important to stay grounded in facts. The real problem is the people that vote for these… Read more »

I am aware of the voluntary intent to relinquish aspect, and agree with you that it is not unimportant. I should have included it in my post. However, it may be a worthy fight to attempt to forcibly revoke the citizenship of one of these native born yokels, in order to have it revisited by the courts. Naturalized, though… don’t let the door hit ya on the way out. In the meantime, yes, voting for anyone like this is idiotic. I suspect (nay, I know ) that these candidates and their supporters are saying exactly what they mean and mean… Read more »

lol, you can’t make this stuff up as truth is indeed stranger than fiction because the insane hypocrisy is that trump is married to an immigrant, vance’s wife’s parents are immigrants and of course musk himself, though no longer affiliated with the current admin, is also an immigrant.

Nice attempted stretch. Are those people you mentioned here illegally and have also announced their alliance lies with their country of origin rather than the country that they live and work in, being paid at the taxpayers expense? Fail.

None of which are declaring love or loyalty to their birth nation before America. Which is a requirement and in the sworn statement declared to obtain U.S. citizenship. So basically and literally those people who you mentioned are American. And Ramirez is a lier and her citizenship is eligible to be revoked.

“Several left-wing American lawmakers traveled to Mexico City over the weekend to attend a summit aimed at challenging U.S. global dominance, organized by the director of an openly anti-capitalist and anti-American organization.”

Merely attending this anti-American conference of leftists speaks more than words.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
