Editorial: The Democratic Protectorate of Illinois – Wall Street Journal

"Texas Democrats have fled to Illinois to escape having to vote in Austin on the Republican plan to gerrymander the Lone Star State’s Congressional district map. The destination is amusing since no one knows more about partisan gerrymanders than Illinois Democrats."

Mikey “Im not a Crook” Madigan and his Dem stooges spent 30 years perfecting the Illinois gerrymandering.

JB can puff and prance but….he no longer has the evil genius of Mikey Madigan on his team. Good luck trying to squeeze any more democrat aka communist congressional seats out of this already dry rock of Illinois. In fact, with recent shifts in the electorate – especially among blacks and hispanics coming to their senses and voting republican – likely IL will gain Republicans despite JB’s flailing whaleboy belly flop criminality.

Illinois is the laughing stock of the nation with this story because of the 13th District that encompasses Champaign, Springfield, Decatur and west to East St. Louis. Champaign to East St. Louis is more than 150 miles of a diverse population that includes a college town, farmland and a very urban population. JB standing in front of a bunch of whining Democrats with an overlay of the district map does nothing for his Presidential aspirations – and these maps certainly don’t appeal to anyone except desperate politicians. Keep it up JB.

Democrats think it’s still 1980 — and voters don’t have infinite access to information. As if we don’t know that Democrats have been the masters of gerrymandering (much of it race based) for decades. This universal access to information (unfiltered by the Democrat-rigged fake news fraud media) explains why Democrats are seeing their lowest polling numbers ever.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
