Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. This is so stupid. They just keep dumbing shit down for kids that don’t attend, or do n e school work . But want to pass the class n be promoted to the next grade. Which is b cuz the entitled parents did nothing but complain to superintendents about holding their kids back for not doing work or attending only 10 days out of the year. With each passing day, we are finding out in Illinois how badly this Great Experiment of having public unions running the state has failed. Could any Illinois resident have ever imagined how spineless and greedy some of these Illinois pols are?

Typical government. If they can’t meet a standard, lower it and call it a success. At least the Chicago Teachers Union would be happy with this considering their test scores.

Maybe the IL board of education should focus on actually teaching students and making teachers teach the basics. Stop covering up failed public schools and inadequate teachers.

I do not think most of the CPS teachers would pass the same test. Stacey Gates sends her children to private schools for good reason. The CPS just passes the kids through with out any regard to giving them a education.
That’s the democrats way LOWER THE REQUIREMENTS instead of teachers meeting or exceeding the requirements
