Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Whatever Trump is thinking (or not, who knows?) with his national guard comments, he is doing an expert job of illuminating the wondrous results of democrats approach to law “enforcement”. Meaning disregard for immigration laws with the sanctuary state/city statuses, an unwillingness to assist ICE deport criminals, and a general unwillingness to enforce laws of criminals of all sorts ie Kim Foxx and her ilk around the country. Trumps style may be bad on this but he’s not wrong about the results of such lax and obstructive behavior by democrats.
Would love to see him come, we are just SCREWED in Illinois with Democrat rule for decades.
JB should ask Trump for a plan to allow Illinois Bankruptcy it’s the only way out of this slow death.
