Isn’t Illinois Fun?

This being Illinois and Pritzker being a virtue signaling big spender, one expects an expensive fustercluck. Will be interesting to see who gets the tech contract for this and who all gets paid to manage this behemoth.

Now you know why Sir Mick Jagger got his heart operation in New York and not by the British health system.

Soon Illinoisians will travel to red states for medical care. I suppose Fred Flintstone has a doctor in Florida.

When has IL government done anything better? IL cannot balance the budget without excluding pension debt. The website is going to be better? IL websites are difficult to use. Maybe if they hired qualified people to design them instead of political hires an DEI? And this is just a back door way to insure illegals. Not to mention all the overhead and graft in IL that will get worse, if that’s possible. There should be a referendum so that IL taxpayers have a say, for once.

“Maybe if they hired qualified people to design them instead of political hires..”. Do you object just as much when that’s how Trump has chosen his top political appointees? I hope you do.

Perhaps a background check of DJTs cabinet should be reviewed and compared to JBs political appointees.

How about JB ask the taxpayers if they want to foot the bill for illegals health insurance? Guessing the answer would be a big fat no. He is strangling Illinois taxpayers and could care less. If you thought insurance premiums have skyrocketed the past 5 years, you haven’t seen anything yet with the Illinois government messing with premium rates. Could private insurers be far behind if they see a chance to make more money?

Oh man, good luck to them, but ya know…this is just going to be bad. A crappy out of control spending government taking over free health services and putting the Illinois tax payer on the hook for more and more taxes and funding for their new rebranded “program”. Why?…because JumboJB hates The President. Again, we get to pay for his ego and vanity. The article says that legislators were told that “Illinois can do better” and they could “streamline” the process and “maybe save some money”. Not a convincing business plan. Does anyone really believe that Illinois Government can streamline,… Read more »

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
