Top Chicago officials demand crime crackdown as mayor fights Trump over looming takeover: ‘100% need help’ – FOX News

"I think a federal surge would, in fact, be helpful. Even though we see our statistics are trending in the right direction, who would argue against making them trend even further, even lower, meaning less victims on the street," Ald. Ray Lopez said.

Crime is the only growth industry left in Chicago. Businesses have left, no jobs, the public sector is way over bloated, the CPS offers zero education. Nothing left but illegal activities to earn a living for the next few generations. Pensions costs are soaring taking a heavy burden on budgets. No money left for safety. Cops do not respond to many calls for help. The honest citizens are fleeing the area in record numbers. Chicago is not a safe place to raise a family anymore.

Trump just showed who PIGSTER and PANIC ATTACK are protecting. The ILLEGAL Invaders , Criminals and Gangbangers . Definitely not the citizens in Illinois

Johnson and Pritzker are pro illegals and pro criminals. They do this for these 2 groups before they do anything for law abiding US citizens. Nothing has or will change with them and their far left policies. Vote them and Raoul out.

There are protesters infront of the ICE location in Chicago claiming that Illinois law prohibits ICE from detaining people, so the property is called a processing location. The protesters claim that ICE is housing detainees unlawfully. So, they want ICE to release them. WTF are these people smokin? The detainees are criminals…you want ICE to release criminals into the Chicago community? These people are irrational and must be paid protesters.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
