ICE arrests met with growing resistance from Chicagoland residents – WGNTV (Chicago)

“Rapid response teams,” as they’re known, have been making their presence felt on the streets from Brighton Park to the city’s Northwest Side and out to the suburbs. In Wheaton, rapid response teams arrived within minutes of an ICE stop and applied undeniable pressure on federal agents.

WTF are people afraid of

I find it hard to believe that ALL the workers on a roofing crew, or ALL the immigrants that work at a Home Depot location would have criminal behavior in their background. So much for only going after the hardened criminals with record of committing crimes. This administration is using gestapo tactics and upending lives of both immigrants and the people that hire them. Uncalled for and dangerous.

People caught speeding aren’t generally receiving every social service available and don’t have a higher than average chance of being a felon in their land of origin.

Attacking the poorest people in our society is shameful. Most are good hard workers who do jobs that the lazy pot head American kids will not take. Trump has had lots of them work at his hotels and do construction work on his projects.

500,000 criminals, rapists , terrorists , murders and gangbangers came in thanks to Biden . Plus there are probably another million know one knows about .

Go to any Contruction site and it is filled with Latin workers. Go to any manufacturing plant and it is filled with Latin workers. My house got a new roof, gringo contractor with Latin workers. I got my house painted by a gringo contractor with Latin workers. They are good solid citizens. They are much better than the lazy uneducated white kids living in their parents’ basements, playing video games and smoking legal pot all day.

Illegals are taking jobs from US citizens and working for slave wages. This forces salaries down. Remember when illegals were removed from meat packing plants out west? The line for jobs applicants by US citizens was long.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
