Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Republicans are dumb as usual. Trump took 89 of the 103 Illinois counties. But they have no strategy for flipping Illinois. Bailey is not electable. He’ll get hung up on abortion again and strike out.
Look what happened with Rauner. He wins and Madigan blocked all his moves. Illinois has to go red to succeed.
Can’t Illinois GOP do better?
Trump had a decent showing in the state, and the Chicago area. It’s a shame that the Republican National Committee won’t invest a little here, to try and flip this state. Some viable candidates would certainly help.
Bailey needs to stay out, he can’t win.
We need Ted Dabrowski.
That’s up to the Illinois GOP primary voters to decide.
He’s another Oberweis
Pritzker will buy this election, just as he did his last two elections. There needs to be a cap on what PACs can donate. A cap on all donations would be great. That’s how he did it last time.
Example 310,739 of how the IL GOP is a joke. No one in a position to tell him the obvious, you did terribly last election and have no chance in the next one.
Pritzger has the election in the bag no matter what the opponent. Democrats do run everything in Illinois.
OMG, Del Mar is Bailey’s running mate! There are all kinds of awful things about him out there. Just one was his business that he had earlier. https://www.illinoisrecord.com/p/illinois-gop-co-chair-aaron-del-mar I thought Bailey is a Christian man.
If people act as if they have half a brain and see through Pritzger, all the money in the world will deny his scheme. Get with it, IL residents and see the Marxist trust fund baby for what he truly is.
People perceive him as status quo and most people prefer the S.Q.
