Chicago teacher accused of mocking Charlie Kirk’s assassination as school suddenly pulls website – Daily Mail

ImageLucy Martinez made gestures seemingly alluding to Kirk's assassination at a 'No Kings' protest at the weekend. A video went viral online of a woman, who social media users soon identified as Martinez, pointing her finger at her neck with her thumb in the air, in a gesture that mimics a gun.

Deranged psycho. Fire her, take her tax payer pension and black-ball her from ever entering a classroom again. This is an example of who is teaching your children, who votes in union leadership that are singularly focused on money and couldn’t care less about education. This is the uncaring, pathetic, deranged democrats who have no respect for another point of view. It is no wonder Public Schools suck.

You’re casting the simplistic delusion that the actions and beliefs of one are true of all. When has that ever been true anywhere? People anywhere are individuals first and foremost, accepting group beliefs and actions only where they see it approximates theirs.

Perhaps. The challenge is that we keep seeing these nut-balls in the news over and over again, their behavior is extreme and there are hundreds of others around them cheering them on…the elected leaders of these groups appear to be as deranged as she does…sometimes if it looks like a duck…its a duck.

You’re only seeing the more vocal ones who choose to be present at such things. Just as is the case for public displays re political matters generally everywhere it’s likely that most people having more moderate opinions represent a larger segment of the party or political topic of the moment and are consequently ignored by the media because of their lack of immediate availability at such times.

We can agree to disagree here, but For the sake of decency, compassion and society, I hope you are right, because, it sure isn’t what we are seeing here.

This argument would work better if they hadn’t just elected Stacy Davis Gates president of the Illinois AFT.

James – what should the school system do? Someone with this lack of impulse control is a poor fit for a teacher.

Ha ha – yep. But really, they already do that. These districts hire robots in the form of Chromebooks and software to integrate into their canned course plans …trouble is the technology is being set up to teach the course plan. Robots. Yep.

That’s what I meant. Any “personality” a computerized system has is programmed in advance and not subject to the variabilities as stress enters the “equation” from time to time. If you enter x into a computer you’ll get y every time. If you enter or “do” x to a person you can expect the response will vary depending upon the person as well as situation.

James- The principal has offered a statement indicating Martinez is a victim.. Whknows, Martinez may have had insults thrown at her. But what is on video is not acceptable for a teacher. The principal further relates the school is awaiting a police report. This isn’t a police issue; it is a character issue for someone involved with children. Does any of this inculcate confidence in the public schools?

Note how quickly the Illinois State TA was fired. But Illinois State in competition for tuition dollars. No such pressure on CPS.
