The governor expressed concerns that Brandon Johnson’s plan to reintroduce the Chicago “head tax” would further Illinois’ reputation as a bad place for business. Businesses in Chicago already pay the third-highest state corporate income tax rates in the nation. They also pay the highest commercial property taxes in the U.S.
The news here is that Blackjack Pritzker admits that Illinois has a reputation as a bad place to do business.
The obvious questions are:

The black hole never stops feeding, it will continue until total change comes to Chicago/Springfield politics. The list will grow of cities destroyed by pure greed, East St. Louis, Harvey soon adding Dolton, Dixmoor, Chicago and on and on. The political lies told to union members rank as the worst of all times. The pensions could never be paid as promised and the liars that told the lies get off free of any criminal charges. Johnson should listen to Pritzker, who knows a thing or two about job killing, working family harming tariffs. Let the state handle this.
