Pritzker’s Inaccurate Pushback on Chicago Murder Rate Claim – FactCheck

Defending Chicago in a recent Fox News interview, Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker said it was “not in the top 30” of “big cities” with the highest rates of murder. But in 2024, Chicago had the 15th highest murder rate among U.S. cities with at least 250,000 residents, according to FBI data. It ranked higher if limiting to cities with even larger populations.

Could it be that ICE operations in the City the last 2 months has significantly reduced the murder rate during that period? Hmmmmm?

Tel that to the Chicago grandmother who testified before Congress that her grandson murderer stood over him and shot him 7 times and killed him. The assailant was chartered with manslaughter, not 1st degree murder. Chicago is downgrading charges to improve crime stats.nor even worse, not even charging criminals. But that’s Pritzker’s and the Democrats way.
