The number of full-time equivalent teachers working in Illinois reached a new high of 137,899, an increase of 687 from the previous year. But total student enrollment decreased slightly to just under 1.85 million.
These teachers may not understand big words. Simply put the kids grades suck because you suck at your jobs. Get it ?

Thank you CTU and CPS for a failed public school system despite hiring too many teachers and excessive spending. Maybe teacher salaries should be tied to student test scores. They need to be held accountable.
Sure, and let’s do that for lots of others as well. How about cops paid by the local crime rate, accountants paid by the profitability rates of their clients, doctors paid by the death rate of their patients, and psychologists paid by the cure rate of their patients just for starters? We can’t tolerate slackers!
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
