Rt 56 and US 45 more, I294 and I88 less. When tolls were last doubled, I cut my usage in half. Time to strive for zero.

Makes sense if a bridge could be built connecting Wisconsin to Indiana!
Fed Up Taxpayer

They want to tax companies that pick up loads in Wisconsin and drive through to warehouses in Indiana because the idiots don’t realize they won’t improve the business climate by taxing anything that moves. Can’t fix stupid but as long as the pensions get paid they are all good. No fiscal disasters to see in Illinois. Move along.
Well they could drive thru the upper peninsula of Michigan and down to Indiana and avoid tolls altogether except at the bridge toll at St. Ignace.

Just another way to tax suburbs to pay for Chicago. Make all Chicago expressways toll roads. Chicago needs to put “some skin in the game”.

😲 The Western end of Illinois Tollway 390 has a current < 1 mile toll of 30 cents from Routes 20 to 19, so it's increasing to 75 cents, just so Chicago transportation doesn't raise their prices? This is just plain wrong! Who voted for these idiot Demoncrats who approved these increases for the suburbs and not Chicago?

Transit fares pay 25% of the operating costs . With this bill 75% of the cost is being PASSED TO PEOPLE who don’t use public transportation!!
Isn’t Illinois Fun?

Pritzker et al don’t realize the extent to which truckers and railroads avoid refueling in IL. Likewise residents living near the border.

This is a higher government cost added to freight / delivery for everything purchased in Illinois. The companies will pass it on to you. Just another example of how Democrats cause higher inflation for everyone, which hurts the poor the most. Chicago area media is extremely biased and will blame Trump for the inflation, and not how the Democrats screw ordinary people in Illinois to enrich their public sector union buddies.

My bet is the tax will come about. Illinois is so short of money and morals I would guess it is 100% sure to happen. Never going to stop raising taxes, just look back at the last 50 years. Stay and pay or run for sun.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
