State Senator Dave Koehler: “We have to add more supply and battery storage adds supply,” he said. “We know that we have to put more energy onto the grid if we’re going to bring prices down. It’s a simple fact of supply and demand, and we know that demand is high in the summertime."
You have to understand the nuance to this. Electricity bills are going up partly because wind and solar are not reliable. The additional billions of dollars of cost of batteries is being incurred to mitigate that increase. It’s a taxpayer subsidy paid to cover up the effects of the failed subsidies and mandates for wind and solar.
Like you have stated lately on Wirepoints, I want to see facts and figures that my electric bill will not go up, not rhetoric from politicians that are clueless
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
Green energy is simply not affordable energy and battery storage is a ridiculously retarded solution.
Of course it will raise rates.

And you sure won’t see that because the new law deleted the caps on how much electricity prices can go up.
