Rachel Ventura, a Democrat from Illinois.  Her state, she said, has already started to address the challenge by passing Senate Bill 25, also known as The Clean and Reliable Grid Affordability Act, now awaiting Gov. JB Pritzker’s signature.

It’s refreshing, and somewhat surprising, to see Ventura doing something besides spouting her usual DSA litany of BLM, illegal immigrant’s/tran’s people rights, more social services etc. Maybe she’s had a “ Futterman moment “ and an epiphany that a lot more politicians could stand to experience.

The supply of electrons is finite and must be generated somewhere. The Illinois law is a joke, Batteries that the ratepayers are stuck paying for. The solar and wind path will not work it is not reliable and cannot meet peak demands. The old battery story, horse pucky, we cannot have enough storage to meet the peak demand plus the batteries run down real fast and you cannot run them to zero charge. A start would be getting rid of all this GREEN energy requirements that would significantly reduce the cost of electricity in Illinois.
