Timothy Evans Expects to Endure – Injustice Watch/Chicago Magazine

Evans said bond court reforms became a priority as soon as he became chief judge in 2001. “If you’ve ever seen the slave ships that came from Africa over to the Americas, to get everybody in the slave ships they didn’t put them in chairs. They put them on the floor,” Evans said. “That’s exactly the way it was when I became chief judge.”

I guess when the only cards in your hand is the race card, that’s the one you play. Cook County deserved a lot better than Evans. What a disgrace. He’s responsible for people of all races being victimized by the perps he’s turning loose, and all he can do is blather about slave ships!

Evans’ office has been in charge of the electronic monitoring bracelet program, which let criminals run free to commit more crimes, like setting a lady on fire. Seems that Evans ain’t so “hot”.
