Have no doubt about what that would mean — the end of the Constitution as we have known it. Illinois’s checks and balances are working. It’s just that the people who elect all three branches of government like it just the way it is, as disastrous as it is.

Among the federal checks and balances is the electoral college, something Il lacks, hence single party rule dominated by the Chicago metro area to the detriment of the rest of the state.
