I watched Chicago’s outdoor NYE celebration on TV this weekend and it was just another reminder that Mayor Johnson had baked racial division in to the cake of city politics. His overarching philosophy appears to be “we (Black people) run Chicago now.” There’s no substance to his governing, just racial politics galore. The NYE event showcased to the world the that Chicago has been conquered. There wasn’t a non-black person in sight at the downtown event. No non-black people on stage or in the crowd.
