The Great Divorce Continues – Issues & Insights

"When U-Haul released its latest “Growth Index” this week, it made us wonder if blue states will ever get a clue.... From 2012 to 2022, California lost more than 1.6 million people to net domestic migration; New York almost 1.8 million; Illinois nearly 900,000, according to Unleash Prosperity’s “Vote with Your Feet” analysis of IRS data."

Need ICE to check voting affiliation first after blocking all the ways out of IL. There are zero houses available in southern TN or northern AL so go away. Move to New York or California instead.

He wonders why people stay in those hellholes. Well some would say family and some would say work, but the honest answer is that most are institutionalized. Just like in the Antebellum south, the slaves didn’t know any better and their masters kept telling them that this was the best they could hope for. By keeping the slaves illiterate and ignorant, they were easier to control. CPS and CTU are doing a magnificent job of that.
Stupidity, ignorance, laziness and sloth pretty much sums it up. The people still there belong there. They are the perfect constituents.

And the stage four afflicted Marxists go elsewhere to spread their rot having fouled their nests. If I were a southerner, I’d be tempted to take a pot shot at any new vehicle in my neighborhood with plates from a northern state or CA. Take your soy latte lib policies, “ Hate has no home Here “ yard signs and Cub flags and beat it, Yankee.

As a new Southerner in NC who unfortunately spent 60 years getting taxed in Illinois, there’s so few woke libtards down here in the rural areas that they bus the Marxists activists from one small town to another for their protests. They staggered the protest times for their No Kings rallies over here among the different towns so they could bus the lead Marxists around.

Illinois is headed to becoming the Third World.
What is the simplest definition of the Third World?
A few rich people, no middle class, and a bunch of poor people.
This is the fate of all Marxist run blue cities

Should expect more of the same for years to come. No one likes being gouged and that is what the taxman is doing in the states that people are leaving.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
