This column is spot on. So many of our leaders are just fundamentally stupid. Same for General Assembly. One exception I would make is Preckwinkle. She is smart (in a devious and wrong-headed way, of course). That’s what makes her the center of Cook County’s problems.

Wire points should start a Dunce of The Month Club. Find a misspent federal money and who authorized it!
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
