8 arrests in 6 months: Woman allegedly beat bus passenger, two others while AWOL from court – CWB Chicago

Records show that Diamond Miller failed to appear in court on a pending misdemeanor battery charge December 2. Rather than issue a warrant, Judge Peter Gonzalez ordered the court clerk to send Miller a postcard reminding her of her court dates, according to court records.

She is but one of many. That’s the way the “ holistic “ justice system works in IL. When these people finally run out of luck and on a slab, then it’s time for the crying, moaning about what nice people they were and a lawsuit if the circumstances are right.

This is the intended goal of the SAFE-T Act. The point of this all is to eventually force the prosecution to drop the case after the witness/victim declines to remain involved.
