The deadline is approaching for the CTA to submit a revised safety plan to the Trump Administration or face possible funding cuts. Reporters have learned that part of the agency’s security plan includes the implementation of advanced gun detection technology in every CTA station by the end of the month.

That advanced gun detection technology will go the way of Shotspotter when it show more minorities are illegally carrying firearms than non-minorities.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
