Illinois gives $45M to select business groups – Illinois Policy

The 30 recipients included Austin African American Business Network Association, Joliet Latino Economic Development Association and the Assyrian American Chamber. While these 30 chambers likely provide legitimate and valuable services to members, state funding of specific chambers effectively subsidizes some businesses and regions over others.

The gravy train rolls on. Illinois political animals gotta keep buying votes since their policies directly hurt all Illinoisans. No need to buy off suburban AWFLs, their TDS will keep them in line. The confiscated taxpayer funds all go to the friends and pals of Illinois political animals.

This is vote buying by a state that is flat broke and Illinois political animals aren’t even trying to do it in the shadows any more. The Useless Chicago Media dutifully ignores it for the DNC distraction du jour.
