I don’t think it really matters if commissioners show up to meetings because Toni Preckwinkle and the Cook County Democrats control all of the seats except for one lone seat held by Republican Sean M. Morrison. There’s no real debate, only perfunctory votes on Toni’s legislation that always pass. It’s a bit like the National People’s Congress of the Chinese Communist Party, where legislation is decided in advance and not open to genuine debate. Both situations create the illusion of democracy but lack actual democratic process.

We raise taxes to pay these pieces of garbage to do nothing. We need doge in Illinois. Hell in 2 years maybe our debt would be gone

IF you missed the number of meeting these people did in private industry you would be fired…then again if these people were they would be the first to cry discrimination.

an $100K part time job…and you can’t show up for the meetings. Yep, its Illinois, sounds about right. The County Board is just another prOgram .
