Target sued for checking arrest records of new hires, violating IL law: Class action – Legal Newsline

That law was enacted in 2021 by Gov. JB Pritzker and Illinois Democratic state lawmakers. The measure, known as the "Employee Background Fairness Act," amended the Illinois Human Rights Act to make it a civil rights violation for employers to make hiring decisions based on arrest records revealed in employment background checks.

Remember the democrats embrace criminals and accept their behavior. Remember that the last item on public safety is to NOT protect innocent victims. Remember it’s democrats who passed the release without bail laws, automatic reductions in prison sentences, supporting incompetent radical state attorneys ala Kim Foxx and others, outlawing multiple firearms for law abiding citizens to possess, sanctuary state policies and protecting violent illegal alien criminals from being located, arrested and deported. Remember that democrats fight for criminals and ignore victims.

More businesses will leave if the company cannot weed out convicted criminals. Businesses have the right to know if a potential employee is a convicted criminal.

Just what I’d want to hire ,a thief to work my cash register. And with the stench from Evans and Foxx in the air ,they’ll walk to steal again at another store

Didn’t Pritzker pose with a peacekeeper for a photo op and a week later the “peacekeeper” was charged with murder, burglary, and retail theft? According to Fox news, at the time of the photo, Kellen McMiller had 4 outstanding arrest warrants.
So I guess Pritzker and his underlings know all about making great hiring decisions based on no background checks. Isn’t this peacekeeper program a farce and how much money is being wasted on it? Pritzker and Johnson know zero about crime prevention.
