Commentary: There’s no place for school vouchers in Illinois – Rockford Register Star

"Funding for our public schools, including for wraparound services like tutoring and afterschool programs, should be sustainable and stable, not subject to the whims of donors writing checks to unregulated scholarship granting organizations for tax breaks."

Note that not once can they demonstrate how this program will divert funds from the public schools. However, being it is being printed in liberal Edwardsville, I have no doubt it will sway many minds. Nonetheless I will be contributing to the program in a neighboring State. Apparently Illinois voters do not want the EXTRA funding for children’s education and that’s fine with me. I will provide it to states that appreciate the ADDITIONAL funding and the Illinois voters that want to harm their children, including Ms Thomas, can go about their merry way.

Hmm.. yet there is room for truant, unproductive teachers that teach children marching around with their Marxist salutes is preferable to learning. There is room for overpaid administrators to ignore or be implicit in the promotion of gay and trans lifestyles. There is room for sexual predators, whom hundreds of incidents of such against them have yet to be addressed much less investigated in CPS alone. Funny what some people can make room for.

Lord – where do I begin. The author of this Commentary has no room in her mind for another point of view. It is the same monotone single mode stream of thought as the rest of public school cheerleaders. Private or religious schools are the enemy of education and no tax dollars paid in by the parents of children attending a private school should ever be given to those schools. It is their choice to pay twice. Shut up and pay us.Any change in the funding options for parents and tax payers is bad. Shut up and pay us.Any contributions… Read more »
