Video: Darren Bailey leads 4-way GOP race for governor – WGN (Chicago)

"With a well-known name statewide and a new campaign message, Darren Bailey is ahead in the four-way Republican primary race for Governor. Bailey has little to say about his opponents, instead looking ahead to November and what would be a rematch of the 2022 contest. This time, Bailey hopes for a different outcome."

What a clown show! We’ve got Bailey the double agent rifle magazine dumping lunatic, Ted – the guy that’s probably convinced more people to move out of state than vote, and some guy with a skull bracelet. Where are the national organizations?

They are waiting on Dave Hardy to publish a bunch old pamphlets that will save the day.

All I’ve gotten from Bailey is a postcard so far. Ted is all over YouTube with well done ads. Of course the Democrats are everywhere with the same nauseating ad saying ‘Hold Trump accountable’ None say what that means but for the low information public union voter it’s all about emotion and handout promises.

Gonna throw the red BS flag – Bailey is awol in CI. Whatever data is being used I’d say it’s a suppression pole more than anything.

How many crossover votes are being cast for Bailey I wonder. That, or the so called conservatives who may put him over the top, will somehow take pride in themselves for being non partisan and coming together for the sake of Illinois, to vote for the same guy Pritzker wanted.

In one week I will know if I’ll even take the time to vote this November.

I saw a poll on X.com that had Ted leading Bailey by 6 points. It’s not over!

As of February 22nd, @Grok claims polling shows Bailey at 34% and Ted at 8%. It’s not over but it appears the average Illinois Republican voter isn’t engaged in this race at all. We will see if that changes in the next 10 days but if history is any indicator I highly doubt it.

The average Republican is not engaged this primary because they are being drowned out by Democrat engagement. I’ve been paying attention this election and I’ve seen and heard very little from Republicans at all. Maybe my situation isn’t representative of a typical Illinois Republicans but I’m drowning in the Illinois senate race ads because in Illinois the real election for Democrats is the primary.

I’ll have some of what you’re smoking Bill ‘cause from where I sit……it’s over. It being the race for the GOP nomination, that is.

Let’s hope Ted is up by 6, Teds the only viable candidate and Pritzker knows he is vulnerable.

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result I like Darren Bailey but he is doing a disservice to the GOP by running again. The result will be the same.

Tell that to the Illinois Republican voters that seem to want to choose him again. They must be insane expecting a different result.

To all of your downvoters, will one of you please explain why you voted for Bailey over Dabrowski? I think we all really just want to know

“Mark Malloch Brown, George Soros, and Mitt Romney control over 90% of electronic voting machines in the U.S. … Further digging discovered that the “OpTech” software engine inside Smartmatic was ordered by the Obama-Holder Justice Department to be deployed in all electronic voting machines used in the U.S. including Smartmatic, ES&S, Diebold, Sequoia, Dominion and Hart InterCivic.” – Douglas Gabriel

Here is Gabriel’s source.

“In essence, the state has a secret and they won’t tell the citizens how the machinery works. … There are about 11 different vendors in the State of Washington, but they all use exactly the same scanning technology called OpTech. And it’s an OCR, optical character recognition technology developed decades ago, but it’s been changed and designed for counting these ballots.” – James M. Miller

for better or worse, at this point regardless of who his opponents are it’s very likely that Pritzker gets re-elected and becomes the first 3 term democratic gov in IL history.

Isn’t Illinois Fun?

Remember the parade in Animal House where the band is led down a dead end street and marches into a wall? That’s the republicans primary result if Bailey is indeed leading in the poles. Ted is the best Republican candidate in many years and Bailey is the answer?

And, yes, of course, this time will be different because of course it will. Unicorns will replace Ubers, money will grow on trees and Chicago will use the fruit of the money trees to avoid bankruptcy. Fantastic on so many levels.

The Illinois GOP has been terrible this primary season. I’ve received only one mailer and two texts from candidates running for various positions. I haven’t seen a single Republican internet ad on YouTube or streaming services, but I’ve seen every Democrat ad at least a dozen times. The Republican Party knows exactly who I am. They know I’m a Republican. I’ve donated money to the party in the past, I’ve put up yard signs for their candidates before, and I haven’t moved in 30 years. Yet so few candidates have bothered to reach out. I’m only voting for the candidates… Read more »

The GOPe intentionally fosters division to take back control from the MAGA base. This is their technique on a national level.Do nothing.
The same people doing this did it to the Tea Party.
look at how they won’t support the Save Act in the Senate.
Everything happening is a technique to accomplish this objective of the GOP establishment.
It doesn’t care who is elected as long as it isn’t MAGA.

The only mailers I have received are negative ads against one of the DuPage County Sherriff candidates.

Bailey seems to be employing the “ hide in the basement “ tactic that served Joe Biden so well. Hopefully, the polls will be proven wrong ( I believe Jasmine Crockett was leading in her contest in the polls ) and Pritzker’s hoped for redux of the last time goes down in flames.

He’s been their favorite ‘republican’ for years. I stopped listening to him after he bragged in front of some Leftist Democrats his kid was going to NYU. He’s as republican as Obama.
