A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
I would think Bailey would have been in Chicago during the primary to get his name out there as publicity is a big thing in the voting booth. I don’t know what’s in Bailey’s head but in my head he made a big mistake, has no chance of winning and did his best to torpedo the one person that had a chance against Pritzker. He was trying to win the primary first and then he would deal with Chicago. That was and is his strategy. He had such a massive lead over the other primary opponents there was no need to take any risks before March 17th nor spend any money. Bailey can’t win though so it won’t matter. Pritzker gets an easy opponent and an easy victory.
And the ones that supported Bailley will most probably lose
As they should. They supported a candidate where they already know he can’t win.

He was working. Huge amount of work to finish off. He has made it clear he fully supports Bailey.
Why would he support him when Bailey is going to step down? Makes no sense.
Look who keeps bringing up a roomer of a possibility, and now is stretching it to a statement of fact — PPF. And for the record, Ted does not think the rumor is true.
You were the one spreading the rumor on a website that Ted used to run. “Roomer of possibility” lol. That’s every rumor. You engaged in it and then spread it. Now you are hiding behind it was just a possibility? Follow your own standards next time and don’t engage in baseless rumors. It had zero credibility from the start. Sure, Bailey was going to win and just walk away because deep down he knows he can’t win in November. How many politicians ever do that? Yet somehow, you found it credible enough to spread.
Nope. I accurately. commented that the rumor was persistent, which it was, making it newsworthy (It was not rumor about moral turpitude or something of the kind that I criticize rumors). I never had any confidence that it was true or false and never said that I did. There was, however corroborating info that I have not mentioned. My current view is that it is not true — Bailey will stick it out.

You are still trying to pretend that you had some insight when you didn’t. The rumor didn’t make sense when you spread it here. Where else was a rumor like this published about Bailey? Darren who? The networks were flooded, at nauseum, with Democrat ads bashing each other, Trump and the rest of their incoherent messaging. Just through shear repetition people know more democrat names and where they are running that ANY republican. Have only seen ads and visibility on social media for any republicans – Nothing else. This guy didn’t participate in the Republican debate and has little to no visibility in west suburbs. Doesn’t even look like he’s trying. If he really doesn’t want to win…he’s doing a great job.

The Trump who shifted the state of Illinois 8 points to the right in 2022? That Trump? The Trump who had the highest vote total for any Republican candidate in your lifetime? That Trump? Maybe we are talking about a different Trump, because Donald J. Trump’s endorsement would give Bailey several extra points he desperately needs.
That’s tricky and I am not so sure about whether an actual endorsement would help. If the price of getting an endorsement would be embracing all of Trump, that would hurt. Trump is increasingly incoherent and dishonest, and even his supporters know it. He has a different, contradictory story on Iran every day, and what a mess that is. So much will turn on the Iran outcome. It still might turn out well, but it could well end up as a disaster, which would mean a political disaster for the whole GOP in November.
Yep, get your point, but as you guys well know, this state needs to be changed. Another term with Jumbo and Illinois might be finished. Everything Jumbo does makes no sense and penalizes the Illinois tax payer. Continuing to try and get a Republican elected in the conventional way has not worked, shouldn’t we perhaps try and shake it up, pull out all the stops and try unconventional – what do we really have to lose?
Illinois is already finished, it has been for years. Residents will be able to find pockets of sanity and normality, and while the wealth slowly trickles away, there will be recognizable communities here and there. In the long run though, we’ll all be dead, and maybe in 100 years it will become so unrecognizable much like nearly everywhere else in the US.
1. Trust the plan in Iran. Patriots are in charge. The administration is playing 5D chess. Iran isn’t really about Iran, it’s about China. He’s already starting to wind it down and Israel is doing most of the dirty work. I’m personally very skeptical of this entire Iran thing but this administration is competent beyond all of our wildest expectations. 2.
