He has also come out squarely against federal immigration agents in Cook County, a stance likely to resonate with voters following last fall’s “Operation Midway Blitz. “The whole ICE situation should’ve looked a lot different and better coordinated,” Bailey said. “And I’ll even go so far as to say there shouldn’t be federal agents in Cook County doing this work.”
This reminds me of Rauner before his reelection attempt trying to curry favor with Democrats by doing the Exact Same Thing that Bailey is doing here. All it accomplishes is turning off the Base, while the Dems you tried to court end up voting Democrat anyway… :-/

“…there shouldn’t be federal agents in Cook County doing this work.” In the next sentence Bailey blames Pritzker for local law enforcement not arresting “the most dangerous of these people who are here illegally.”
So Bailey isn’t blaming ICE, though the editing suggests that he is. Any way you slice it, he’s better than Pritzker!

Im sorry. But I know hating ICE is the flavor of the month but illegals are just that illegal and I personally don’t want unregistered people living off me and everything I worked for. And when these liberals start to feel some pain they’ll switch sides too. Look at the neighbors in Bridgeview with the protesters

He should be gearing up for his job after the election, because it won’t be as governor. Does anyone want to place a friendly wager on him becoming governor?

You did your damage as intended, Darren. Please just go away and leave politics altogether.

There was an old saying years ago that went something to the effect of “Downstate can not elect a Governor but it can prevent someone from being elected Governor.” The primaries are over thus Bailey’s abilities are over and will just added to the pile of defeated downstaters.

He is setting himself to lose by even more this time.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
