Unfortunately no. Ask former Governor Bruce Rauner who Felon Mike Madigan blocked in every way to change state policies . Rauner threw in the towel. The government threw Madigan in jail. Justice was served

No, Republicans with any sense have long moved out. The city is now composed of public union employees who thrive off the existing situation as well as illegal immigrants enjoying many benefits, and minorities who automatically vote Democratic despite being ignored by state and city office holders.
