Illinois bill would override local law to allow homeless living in all public parks – Wirepoints
If this bill passes, say goodbye to local control over all Illinois parks and expect to see open drug and alcohol use, needles, no sanitation and fire hazards, but no ordinary park users.
Expect no retraction or apology. This what they do.
The state’s existing buyout program for its own pensions is the precedent for Chicago, which should be a warning: Look out for similar exaggerated claims and shoddy analysis.
With all respect, Pope Leo needs to better grasp the concept of “the separation of church and state.” He also fails to recall the mantra of Iranian leaders, Death to America!” “Death to Israel.” Iran financed the murder of 1,300 Israeli’s at a concert. just two years ago. Iran government killed thousands of Iranian protesters earlier this year. I do not recall any outrage from Pope Leo regarding these atrocities.
LaHoodlum emerges from his lair to issue yet another love note to his dear pals in the American Communist Party (formerly the Democrat Party).
Enjoy permanent minority status, LaHoodlum. You suck at your job.
First, the pope can give as good as he gets. Second, Trump is no kinder to Macron or Starmer than he is to the pope. Trump is an equal opportunity critic with little regard for politesse. The hair pulling and crocodile tears are just another diversion. They disagree on matters of policy. So be it.
The pope and Trump both need to stay in their own lanes. The pope’s comments regarding Iran display, at best a cultivated naivete. But Trump’s comments about the pope are inexcusable; his conduct and ego are turning off me and I suspect a lot of other people who voted enthusiastically for him twice. The Bible instructs that “pride goeth before a fall.” If so, Trump is due for a big one; I just hope he doesn’t take me and the nation with him when it happens. As for LaHood, his comments reinforced my respect for him.
A couple questions for the Pope, LaHood and other Illinois republicans. Why no comments when the Islamists in Iran murdered an estimated 30,000 of their own people a few weeks back? Did that hit “the mark”? Also, are you okay with the radicals Islamists having a nuclear bomb? After all, Wall Street is telling us is how critical that part of the world is for energy, fertilizer, helium (to make AI chips), etc. Will LaHood and the Rinos in this state be okay sending their grandsons there 10 years from now to try to clean it up when Iran has… Read more »
World leaders criticizing the Pope has been a thing for … oh … about 2,000 years. Trump’s comments about the Pope are not unique or outlandish. Maybe you’ve heard of a guy named King Henry VIII?
Pope Leo, for a lack of a better word, will be our last Boomer Pope, clinging to the cringey, outdated ideals of the 1960’s liberalism. We had high hopes for Leo but within weeks of taking the office he was giving blessings to ice blocks in the name of climate change. He really did this, so cringey.

Again, not a word about the church in MN being attacked by Lemon & co. , nor the Ukrainian woman murdered nor Sheridan Gorman. Let’s ignore the rampant attack on certain segments of the population by other certain segments but get worked up over Iran. Let’s not. And Jethro Bailey has served his purpose, he needs to go back to the cement pond.
Whataboutism.
And I do believe there were words said.
Just because other things happened and may or may not have gotten attention does not absolve Trump.
