What a tragedy the police were trying to help that felon and he shot at them both.

Reckless judges should not allowed to stick their heads in the sand and allow felons to continue to commit crimes and then pretend that is justice. They should be removed from their positions if someone they release, that has mounds of evidence to detain them according to his own admission, subsequently commits a felony. It is an absolute travesty that this is allowed to continue to happen in Illinois.

This is what you get when you have elected judges in Cook County (and other counties as well), who get hand picked for endorsement by insiders who are committed to diversity, and ward balancing and racial equity. I would love to see this guy’s educational and legal practice experience. I’ll bet he is a real legal scholar. The public would wretch (or at least ought to) if they knew how the slating process worked.

Hitler passed “laws” so that his evil plans could be carried out and so the Nazis and others could say they were only following their country’s laws. Pritzker and the Dems who came up with the Safe-T Act use this law to normalize criminal behavior, to create chaos, and to further piss on crime victims. There’s an interesting Prager U video on how “locking up chronic offenders can save lives…” In the Godless culture the Far Left has created, human life has little worth. Bring back laws based on God’s commandments like DO NOT STEAL and DO NOT MURDER. Without God,… Read more »

Let’s be honest about the origins of the Safe-T Act and where it comes from. The Black Caucus and the Democratic Party have tried everything in their power to keep Black males, and increasingly Black females out of jail, with little to no success. The Safe-T Act is basically just giving up on any hope of achieving success in that effort. So, we’re dealing with a tiny minority that knowingly and willingly chooses the cruel over the kind. It’s not the result of misunderstanding as we often think; it’s pure evil.

Yes, this is 100% true. I’ve never thought of it this way, but it is an interesting observation.

Here’s a couple dandies from Lyke: “If you think injustice has been done, you have the power as a prosecutor [now a judge] to dismiss the case or reduce it down to where your version of justice may be had,” Lyke recalls  “He told me I [Lyke] could help more people as a prosecutor than I ever could as a defense attorney. I told him to start explaining that to me because sending more African Americans to jail, how is that helpful?” he says. “ One officer is dead and another is fighting for his life, a life that will… Read more »

When the next election that includes judicial retention, vote NO on all! They are the enemy!

It doesn’t matter if he gets voted out because the democrats can still appoint him as an associate judge which is just a step down from a full circuit court judge. That nonsense has happened many times before.

Pritzker has this officer’s blood on his hands. Everyone who pushed for the Safe-T Act is responsible for this death.

If dram shop laws can hold bartenders accountable for their actions, judges must be held to a higher standard.

Judge John Lyke should pay restitution to the families of the two policemen or face disbarment and jail time.

Da judge, I use the term very loosely, received his law degree from the Mistic Knights
correspondence School for the mentally
challenged.
