Pritzker will never suspend the gas tax to help IL residents. He needs that money to fund illegals, left socialist policies, and aid non residents to obtain abortion in Il.
speaking of short memories, what about “no more foreign wars”, the claim that tariffs will fix the national debt, lower inflation and decrease housing and consumer prices? how have those campaign promises worked out?
“This is a war that never should have happened. It’s a war the Russians tried repeatedly to settle on terms that were very very beneficial to Ukraine and us. The major thing they wanted was for us to keep NATO out of the Ukraine. The big military contractors want to add new countries to NATO all the time, why? Because then that country has to conform its military purchases to NATO weapon specifications, which means, certain companies, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, General Dynamics, Boeing and Lockheed get a trapped market. In March of 2022, we (the U.S.) committed 113 billion dollars,… Read more »
Frank, I couldn’t disagree more, thoughI am going to Ukraine next week to see for myself. It’s true that we should never have talked about NATO membership for Ukraine, but if that’s all there were to satisfying Russia, any one NATO member could vow to veto any future membership and it would be over. The US has provided no financial assistance since Trump took office, other than intelligence sharing that costs us little. Yet, in the past year, Ukraine has turned the tide heavily against Russia. Russia is reeling, both economically and on the battlefield. They’ve had 1.3M casualties and… Read more »
You should ask the locals about their experience with the war. And how it is being presented in the local news.

Gas prices in Illinois and in many states are high. In Illinois the over $4 prices are caused by a world oil market and a huge part by the state and local taxes placed on that gallon. In Iowa yesterday, I paid $3.49, which is high for Iowa, but a dollar less a gallon than Illinois. If our useless Illinois Governor and government officials wanted to give Illinois residents and tax payers a break…they could temporarily suspend the taxes on a gallon of gas. But, as you know they do not want to do that…giving us a break might help… Read more »
Are you campaigning for a Trump appointment? You’re addicted his Kool-Aid apparently. This whole matter is costing this country HUGE amounts of money that simply can’t continue apace, all courtesy of the shoot-from-the-lip Trump administration. I’d like to think they have a strategy and know what they are doing, but it appears otherwise to a lot of voters to include growing numbers of Republicans. Be prepared for that to show up mightily in the mid-terms. Meantime we all can expect the U. S. Treasury will have bills rattling the financial markets and bringing household budgets to the breaking point. Good… Read more »
Nah. Just reality. Everything this Country does costs HUGE – nothing new there. Every administration’s actions cause people to agree/disagree, think differently, some rationally, others emotionally. I believe what Biden/Harris (and whoever was actually making decisions) did to this country over their time are the most irrational destructive policies intended to damage this country ever seen…you may believe otherwise.
So, if the midterms are “mightily bad” for conservatives as you mention…what will this country look like, how will that change and improve the Country and our lives here in Illinois?
it will allow congress to reign in the president, as the founding fathers intended, and hopefully help prevent situations like the current dictatorship the US is under.
When will people learn that calling Trump a dictator is ridiculous and makes you seem crazy. Trump has been using his executive powers and congress and the courts are free to use their checks and balances if they believe he is out of line. Obama did the same thing. Biden did the same thing. Just because SCOTUS and congress support some of his executive orders doesn’t make him a dictator. It just means he is within his rights to execute such orders. If the voters don’t like his decision, they are free to elect different members of congress and a… Read more »
have you ever heard of whataboutism-it’s a is a common rhetorical deflection tactic used in politics to divert attention from scandals as it functions as a tu quoque fallacy, muddying the waters and minimizing serious issues.
Read the comment immediately above. Yours basically avoids the issue at hand.

in my area prices went up 50 cents overnight and now gas is $5/gallon & it’s predicted that this will go on for months. so much for yet another campaign promise that trump broke and once again american citizens continue to pay a steep price for his incompetency. i can’t help but wonder how the inevitable obama/biden whataboutism will try and defend the tremendously negative impact his illegal war is having. the only positive is that it will serve to further strengthen the wave to remove MAGA & the GOP from power in the upcomming Nov elections.
i have no idea what could have been but it is quite clear that the life of the average american was overall far better under obama & biden than the current trump regime.
Ok, here’s another way to ask the same question. What do you expect Harris or any one of the other Democrats to do differently if the Democrats win in 2028? What would you want them to do differently? Everyone seems to be able to tell us why Trump sucks…but what would you have a new Dem administration do differently?
Higher taxes, more tithing to the Climate Religion, restoration of the Washington grifting machine (USAID and others), more bribes paid to America’s enemies that oddly end up right back in political animal pockets, more cash sent to Ukraine that mysteriously ends up in American political animal pockets, mandate upon mandate making life harder for citizen taxpayers, open borders, federal funds going to America-hating NGOs (and also ending up in political animal pockets), EV mandates, DEI boondoggles,…
Yep – I know…but I am really interested if anyone who claims that the President is a dictator and war criminal, etc., what would they think this Country would look like and be like if Biden had continued with the disastrous policies and behavior from his administration. None of them have a clue or at least won’t share their thoughts.

Short memory? It was over $5 under Obama….

You pals sued to reverse the tariffs, ahersa666.
You advocate a return to the dollar diplomacy of the Soetero-Autopen years?
Are you sure the war is not fake, and a cover for money laundering and market manipulation?

On what topics would they “reign in” the President and specifically how has the President created a Dictatorship in the United States?

There was no MEDIA COVERAGE OR CONCERN with Biden’s HIGH gas prices or when he drained the SPR to help win an election .

Yes, indeed, ahersa666. Your fellow lefty loons use it to deflect blame for the all the crazies attempting to murder the POTUS.
How much money, either cash or weapons, did Biden send to Ukraine for no results?

That’s not fair. You expect an actual idea? Why can’t they just keep screaming Affordability?

Wow! I paid much less than you did for gas today…oh I forget, I bought it in Missouri.
