You can’t blame the Republicans, Bruce Rauner,or Donald Trump if the Bears leave, which is usually the Democrats favorite line. The Democrats fully control the offices of governor and mayor as well as super majorities with the House speaker and Senate president. Now you can understand why IL is such a screwed up state with people and businesses leaving, huge pension debt, poor education scores, and terrible economic scores. Republican states get things done, Democratic states are more interested in progressive policies.
I will stipulate everything you wrote about Illinois and Chicago; however, the Bears moving to Indiana is a bridge too far. The Bears’ ownership is only using Indiana as a ruse. If they don’t get the tax breaks and infrastructure money they demand to build in Arlington Heights, they will stay in Soldier Field.
