I predicted local politicians would be against this bill from the get-go, because they feared taking the blame, and suffering the wrath of the voter, after the 8-flats packed with 20 families Somalis and Venezuelans arrived. They’re getting ahead of this awful bill as quickly as possible. But it’s not like any of this matters. 99 of 101 State’s Attorneys were against the SAFE-T Act and it made zero difference whatsoever.
