Not a fan of BJ but why do discussions involving hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars need to be kept in a closet and not communicated in the open? It is not a good thing when BJ and his financial prowess are left to negotiate unsupervised, but he likely did taxpayers a favor showing how underhanded the process is.

A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
