Ald. Byron Sigcho-Lopez called the device a “bomb,” though a police spokesperson characterized it as a “suspected firework.” Sigcho-Lopez, who is among the City Council’s most progressive members and who is running for Congress as an independent Democratic Socialist, said the incident’s exact motive remains a mystery, and he has contacted a lawyer to make sure the incident is properly investigated.

The “ bomb “, that the non- hysterical call a firework, could’ve be thrown through the window if anyone really was after the little Marxist that seeks to defend police but now cries re the response time to the “ attack “ on his precious life. Looking at the vid of the detonation. Cloud developed, color of cloud and detonation point with no cratering. The detonation was pyrotechnic not high explosive. So no dynamite. And yes a big fireworks mortar shell can cause enough blast over pressure to break windows at semi close distances
