The median price of Chicago condos sold last year in the upper one-tenth of prices was $383 a square foot. For houses it was $322. In Manhattan, the median price was over $3,300 per square foot for either type of housing. In San Francisco, both medians were in the range of $1,200 a foot.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
