New Chicago ID card created for undocumented immigrants will be accepted for voter registration – INN

Just check the box to say you're a citizen who can vote: “When you go to register to vote, you do check a box that attests to your citizenship,” Dietrich said. “You are signing a legal document that says, ‘Yes, I am a citizen.’ But no one who registers to vote is required to bring in, for example, a birth certificate or other proof of citizenship. That’s something that you check the box, and you attest to it.”

Just the act of registering illegals is voter fraud. When will AG Sessions wake up and get tough with this issue???

Given that there is no “proof” of citizenship needed, how close is this to becoming a civil rights issue? We are entrusting a single question as easy as checking a box to people who have already violated Federal law by circumventing the border and being here. It is not unreasonable to assume that this process will be violated, and then my vote is disenfranchised as a result. Is anyone on this forum aware of any case law in which a citizen has sued local/state or federal government for disenfranchising their vote due to the process of allowing fraudulent voting? ILL Ent: The Democrat legislators don’t look at it as taking away your vote. They look at it the way Calif did — they copied the CA model. It doesn’t disenfranchise you, but it cancels out your vote if you vote “R”. And to top it off, CA makes it clear (and Obama said it point-blank too) if you vote and you’re not a citizen, the state govt won’t pursue the infraction. Sick stuff. I’ve lived in 3 states…….grew up in ILL, spent my 20s in CA, and since then MD. All 3 are sanctuary states where millions of illegals… Read more »

If the ILLEGALS are voting in statewide and even federal elections, serious disenfranchisement is happening. I would bet heavily in last presidential election there was at a minimum 5,000,000 votes by ILLEGALS. Trump won the popular vote.

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
