Simply put,this is asinine. More advanced degrees do not make you a better teacher, it does not disseminate information any better. Linear years of experience does not matter in stagnant subjects at all and is only marginally helpful in evolving subjects. The entire system is set up to reward teachers with ever increasing salaries for dubious achievements that do NOTHING to increase the amount of information that is absorbed and able to be applied by the students.
